Good pedestrians make good drivers

It's true good pedestrians do make good drivers and visa versa.
As I walk along the street I try to be observant of everything that's going on around me.
I'm aware of the sights and sounds that fill the air. If I choose to walk at night , well lighted areas are the rule.
Most pedestrians know that they have the right of way, however would they ever insist? , I think not for we all know that if Man versus Car , man loses every time.

We can use all we know about being a good  safe pedestrian when we get behind the wheel.
We must try to know the big picture when we drive, that is we should be aware of all that is in front of us, beside us, and behind us, We must watch for pedestrians as well as other cars, not to mention street signs and traffic signals.
When we drive at night we should want to make sure our headlights and tail lights are in good working order , and never would we drive in an area that is poorly lit at night, like a levee road or an alley.

If we apply the logic of being a good pedestrian to driving we may survive while behind the wheel, and if we apply the logic of being a good driver when we are walking near streets and roads we just might live to walk another day.

Take care and happy motoring
